The Dumboor Lake is one of the sacred lakes in Tripura. It is 58 Kms away from the city of Udaipur in Tripura and 120 Kms away from the capital city, Agartala. This lake is the confluence of the two rivers Raima & Sarma. Being one of the sources to the River Gomti, Dumboor Lake is an abode to a number of migratory birds & therefore it creates a scenic view with the combination of all such stunning features.  The lake is surrounded with the lush green plantation that brings it more close to the nature.

About the lake:

Dumboor Lake is a very popular picnic spot and holds a grand fair at the time of Poush Sankranti in the month of January. This fair attracts numerous visitors each year. The lake is in its progress, a huge Hydro Project has been planned on the lake. The beautiful Dumboor Lake with a company of many migratory birds and the natural & beautified surrounding altogether make the place a paradise for the visitors. It's the perfect place for the nature lovers and bird watchers. One can not resist watching the beauty of nature here.

Best time to visit:

February to May end is the best time to visit the lake. As the winters are too cold the visitors must carry lot of warm clothes. It's the best for children.


Tourist lodges with ample comfort and good services are available near the confluence. One can prefer staying at Udaipur or Agartala too.

How to reach there:

Nearest airport is at Agartala (120 Kms). The nearest railway head is at Kumarghat. Udaipur is just 58 Kms away from the spot. Taxis are easily handy that lead the visitors to the spot.
