The Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is situated in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan, India. It is the richest bird area in the world. This man-made & managed sanctuary is declared as World Heritage Site.

Things to Do & See:


The Keoladeo Ghana National Park is very popular as a bird's heaven with over 380 resident & migratory species of birds. This park is the residence of around 240 bird species but the main feature of the park is the highly rare Siberian Crane which can be seen during the winter. Jungle Cat, Striped Hyaena, Sambar, Golden Jackal, Nilgai are the mammals which can be spotted here.

Bharatpur Government Museum, Lohagarh Fort and Deeg Palace are the other nearby attraction.

How to Reach?


By air: Delhi & Agra airport is the nearest airport.

By train: Bharatpur is connected with regular train services with all the major cities of India such as Delhi, Jaipur, Agra and Mumbai. The Bharatpur railway station is 6 Kms from the bird sanctuary.

By road: An excellent network of road services connects Bharatpur to all the major cities of Rajasthan and neighboring states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
