City Palace is located in Jaipur city, capital city of Rajasthan, India. A stunning example of royal architecture can be seen in City Palace Jaipur. This lavish combination of Mughal, Rajput and European style of architecture is designed by Colonel Jacob. The splendid pillars, brilliantly carved & ornamented interiors of the palace allure the tourist.

Things to Do & See:

The City Palace is a palace complex that includes the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal and other buildings.

Mubarak Mahal: It possesses a wide variety of textile such as traditional royal costumes, shawls with delicate embroidery work, etc. It has magnificent brass gateways. It was used as reception venue for the foreign celebrities.

Chandra Mahal: The elegant seven storied building with paintings, floral decorations, glass &, mirror walls and ceilings in the typical Rajasthan style embellish the palace. Each storey has its distinctiveness & named as Sukh Niwas, Shobha Niwas, Chhavi Nivas, Mukut Mahal Etc. It provides a fine view of the gardens and the city.

Diwan-I-Khas and Diwan-I-Aam: Diwan-I-Khas-the hall for private meetings. It has two biggest silver vessels in the world that catch everyone’s eye.  Diwan-I-Aam is the hall for public meetings. It is adorned with rich red & gold chambers displaying the embroidered rugs and carpets, paintings.

Sihel Khana and Govindji Temple are the other spots to see within City Palace.
