Qila Mubarak was constructed in 1763 by Baha Ala Singh. It is situated in Patiala district of the Indian state of Punjab. Almost all of the forts of Punjab are under the impression of Mughal architecture but Qila Mubarak is the Sikh fort of its type. However, a major part of the fort is converted into heritage museum.

Things to Do & See:


Qila Mubarak, is spread over 12 acres, it has 3 major parts Qila Androon, Darbar hall, and Ranwas.

Qila Androon was adorned with five Sheesh Mahals & thirteen painted chambers where the royal families used to stay. Moti Mahal and Heera Mahal are some of the havelis smartened with white marble. Paintings having Rajasthani & Pahari background can be seen in the interior & exterior of the fort.

Baradari Garden and Gurudware Dukhnivarana Sahib are other spots to visit close to Qila Mubarak.

Nearest airport is Chandigarh. Well connected by railway to cities like Mumbai, Chandigarh & New Delhi. By road, it is linked to cities like Ambala & Chandigarh.
