Jallianwala Bagh is one of the most popular monuments located in Amritsar in the Indian state of Punjab, India. It is adjacent to the famous Golden temple.

Every Indian is emotionally attached with the Jallianwala Bagh monument due to awful incident known as Amritsar massacre or Jallianwala Bagh massacre that happened on 13th April 1919.

The monument is a reminder of the massacre where hundreds of people sacrificed their life in front of coldblooded firing by British Ruler, General Dyer & his men.

A stone lantern is placed at each corner of the tank inscribing "in memory of martyr, Apr 13, 1919". The visitors can have a walk in the beautifully maintained garden while watching the signs of the massacre.

Nearby attractions include Golden Temple and Wagah Border.
