700 years old Faridkot Fort is 30 kms from Ferozpur city of Punjab. The Fort is one of the distinct places to mention in the heritage of Punjab. An astonishing interior speaks the rich taste of the past kingdom.

Things to Do & See:


Architecture - Nanakshahi bricks and lime mortar were used to build the 20-foot-high ramparts and large bastions (burjs). Constructed mainly for security purpose & to place the guns, these are still very much secure. Its ramparts, curved opening are created in a very artistic way.

Sheesh Mahal - A superbly designed hall with glasswork. After watching the reflections of the mirror, tourists get fascinated. Decorated walls with some attractive paintings add to the beauty. This place that looks like a movie set was once used as a prayer hall.

Darbar Hall – The artistic work done with plaster of Paris & some wooden work on the ceiling is really unmatched, the thing to notice here is that it is constructed in such a way that it remains cool during hot season.

Fun & Fair - Celebration of Aagman Purb of Baba Farid takes place every year from September 15 to 23 by the Faridkot District Cultural Society with great fun and fair.

Nearest airport is Amritsar's, Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport. Nearest big railhead, Amritsar is well connected with daily trains from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Indore & other major Indian cities. Amritsar is located on the historic Grand Trunk Road (G.T Road) therefore, very well connected by road network. Daily bus services run to and from Ambala, New Delhi, and Chandigarh etc.
