Daulatabad Fort (Devgiri) - Maharashtra

Fort Daulatabad is regal fortress with excellent architecture & also one of the few secured forts in Maharashtra.

Major Attractions:

Daulatabad Fort is appreciable for its historical architectural design. Though it is situated on the top of the hill; it is surrounded by double or triple row of huge walls, thorny gate, and vertical sliding that makes the fort appear magnificent. The remarkable creations within the fort are Chand Minar- a 30 meter high tower-used as a prayer hall consisting of four storey with glassy tiles & carved decoration, royal palaces with spacious halls, the Jami Masjid consisting of 106 pillars, Chini Mahal (Chinese Palace) and the Elephant Tank - the water supply system of the fort.

Daulatabad is much closer to Aurangabad city (12 Kms) which is well connected by road, rail & air to Mumbai & other cities of the country.
