Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary, J&K
Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary in Jammu derives its name from Nandini Village located at a distance of 28 km from Jammu. The sanctuary is situated around 76 km from Srinagar from south-east and located near Pahalgam. The region playing host to a large number of species supports 8 species of mammals and a wide variety of bird species. Mammals including garal, langur, wild boars and leopards are a common sight and birds like the blue rock pigeon, red jungle fowl, peafowl, chir pheasants, Indian mynahs and others can be spotted. Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary is well connected to different parts of Kashmir.
