
Dolls Museum, Haryana
Dolls Museum is situated in twenty three sector of Bal Bhavan, Chandigarh. This museum was launched by Chandigarh Administrator’s Advisor Mr. K. Bansal in 1985. This museum exhibits splendid dolls and puppets from all over the world making it an internationally famed and one of the best museums in the country. Around five hundred and ninety five dolls are available in this museum belonging to various countries such as Spain, Turkey, Finland, Russia, Austria, Hungary, France, Denmark and many southern Eastern Asian countries such as Korea, China, Hong Kong and Japan. The dolls in the museum represent the sight of lifestyles and traditions of around twenty eight countries containing various illustrations of various fairy tales such as Aladdin, sleeping beauty and Cinderella, made through the regional artists. The museum was set up for the purpose of entertaining kids & for serving as an amusement park for the children.
Dolls museum consists of portraits of great Hindu and Christian epics such as Jesus Christ’s life history and Ramayana that are really very educational and interesting for young kids. It also contains huge train models and 10 ceramic murals completing the entire collection of the museum. This museum provides valuable information for adults as well as children.
