Riverfront Development Project at Ahmadabad

A local initiative organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation includes several developmental activities on the city banks. However, it ran into several hurdles, one of which has been due to the Sabarmati River changing status from a seasonal to a perennial river after accessing Narmada waters from the Sardar Sarovar project. Nevertheless, works are in progress and design changes have been incorporated.
