Bailadila is a famous mountain range located at a distance of 40 km from Dantewada in Chhattisgarh. The entire mountain range of Bailadila is renowned throughout the world for its iron ore mines. Every year millions of tons of iron ore is extracted from these mines and exported to Japan. There are enormous deposits of top quality iron ore in the total 14 reserves that has been discovered in the ranges. However, the mining operations are being carried out only in 3 deposits.

• Gadiya Mountain Kanker

Gadiya Mountain has got the distinction of being the highest mountains in Kanker District of Chhattisgarh. Also referred as Kila Dongri, the Gadiya Mountain is one of the prime attractions of the state. The famous Doodh River flowing beneath the mountain is one of the major tourist attractions in Kanker. During the festive occasion of Mahashivaratri thousands of tourists and pilgrims come here for offering prayers. The mountain and the area surrounding it are of historical importance as it served as the capital of the Kandra King Dharma Dev.
