The central Indian state of Chhattisgarh has recently been carved out from Madhya Pradesh in the year 2000. It is basically a rural state where around 20 % of its population residing in the cities of Chhattisgarh. It is an ancient state, often referred to as the "Dakshin Kosala". The major Chhattisgarh Cities, spread along the length and breadth of the state are renowned for their tribal culture, fairs & festivals and musical grandeur. Chhattisgarh is a naturally beautiful state, is ecologically rich with over 44 percent of state area under forest cover and its cities boast of possessing numerous tourist attractions. Naturally endowed with picturesque waterfalls, magnificent plateaus, meandering rivers, small hamlets and tribal villages, this state is culturally rich where tribes are an integral part of the tourist attractions. Hindi is the official language of the state, but local language known as Chhattisgadiya is also spoken all around Chhattisgarh.
 
Raipur is the capital city of the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh. It is one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Chhattisgarh. Bilaspur is the second-largest city in Chhattisgarh and is the administrative headquarter of Bilaspur district. It is one of the top travel and tourism destinations in Chhattisgarh. It is located on the eastern part of the state and is counted amongst the top historical cities of Chhattisgarh. It offers its visitors with wide ranging attractions and is renowned throughout the world for its rich cultural heritage, Kosa Silk Saris and excellent quality of Doobraj rice.
