The city of Raipur houses the only commercially operating airport in the centrally located state of Chhattisgarh. Raipur Airport is also known as Mana Airport and is located at a distance of around 20 km to the south of the city. The travel and tourism industry in Chhattisgarh has seen a subtle boom in the last few years resulting in an unprecedented increase in the passenger traffic at the airport. For providing world-class amenities to the passengers and improving the overall facilities at the airport, the Airports Authority of India has started the process of modernizing the airport.
