Bomdila is small but one of most picturesque hill station from the northeast India, it is rightfully a getaway heaven for the nature and peace lovers. Bomdilla, is the headquarters of West Kameng district, is a worth visiting beautiful town situated in Arunachal Pradesh. At 8000 ft above the sea level Bomdilla, is an enchanting site to view the brilliant landscape and snow-clad mountains of the Himalayan Ranges. The prime attractions of this stunning town are the sacred Buddhist Monasteries and Craft Centre & Ethnographic Museum.

Bomdilla, in Arunachal Pradesh is famous for its arts and crafts and samples of which can be seen in stalls all around the town. These artifacts are really beautiful and are the specialty of this town which is almost unseen in any part of India. These can be purchased as souvenirs or for gifting purposes.

Bomdila is highly influenced by Buddhism and is dotted with several Buddhist Gompas. The beautiful Bomdila Monastery was built in 1965 by the 12th reincarnate of Tsona Gontse Rinpoche. The visitors get first feel of the local version of Himalayan Buddhist life by visiting or spending some time at the Bomdila monasteries.

Bomdila is also known as a paradise for trekking and hiking. There are many such locations around the town and this is one of the main tourist attractions here. The Eagle Nest Wildlife Sanctuary is also worth visiting and it is located a short distance away. A village called Tawang which is near Bomdila is home to a 400 year old monastery.

Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the West Kameng District of Arunachal Pradesh, India. This is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary which is a popular Bomdilla tourist attraction. Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary is basically a protected area in the Himalayan foothills of Arunachal Pradesh. Covering an area of 217 Sqkm Eaglenest Wildlife Sanctuary, shelters a wide variety of wild animal and different bird species. The lush green surroundings and vegetation of the sanctuary is wide-ranging, impressive and breathtaking.

A beautiful town Tipi, near Bomdila is Asia's largest orchidarium. There is an Orchid Research Centre as well which is located in the West Kameng district. This stunning Orchid centre is situated on the bank of river Bharali, surrounded by evergreen forest has more than 500 species of orchids.
