Salar Jung Museum located on the banks of Musi River in Hyderabad is the "Pride of India". Featuring the largest one-man collections of the world, the museum is regarded as the most sought after tourist attraction in Hyderabad. The museum features wide ranging collection of some rare and ancient exhibits collected by Mir Yusuf Ali Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung III. These artifacts were collected from around the world by Salar Jung for over thirty five years.

The priceless collection at the Salar Jung Museum consists of Mughal Miniatures, European Paintings & Sculptures, Chinese Porcelain, Japanese Silk Paintings, Clocks, rare manuscripts, jade and ivory works and much more. There are over 43,000 art objects, 9,000 manuscripts and 47,000 printed books at the museum. All the exhibits are divided into 38 galleries of the museum.

Although each and every exhibit is priceless, but the main attraction at Salar Jung Museum is the translucent white marble statue of Veiled Rebecca which wad built by Bezoni.  Other important collections at the museum are Aurangzeb's Sword, and Daggers belonging to Queen Noor Jehan, Emperor Jahangir and Shah Jahan, Indian Paintings & Persian Carpets. It is believed that the present collection constitutes only 25 % of the original collection; the rest of them has been siphoned by his employees or was lost or stolen while shifting the museum from Dewan Devdi to the present building.
