Hyderabad the capital of Andhra Pradesh is the fifth largest metropolis of India. Also known as the "City of Nizams", "City of Pearls" and recently "Cyberabad" because of the IT boom in Hyderabad. Founded on the River Musi by Muhammad Quli Qutub Shah in 1591-92, the city is known throughout the world for its rich historical past and culture which is elegantly reflected in its monuments, mosques, temples, arts, crafts and dance.
The twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad are separated by the artificial Hussain Sagar Lake which was built way back in the 16th century built by the Qutub Shahi's rulers.
